I just got a shock coming home today. I have been living with my parents (21 years old so more of a "haven't stopped living with them yet"), and they have been enjoying my grandpa's quite high quality house for more than a year now. My grandpa is a large source of drama for our family though, and things just peaked. We are leaving the house next week. My mom and brother are going to colorado (we are in california now btw) for a few months to live with a friend while Dad looks for a new home here. I find myself in a rather unsteady position because of this. I can abandon my job and my friends and go with my mom and brother to live with my moms friend - who I am not particularly comfortable around. Or I can find a place to live here. I am looking through my options, and I may well end up renting a cheap apartment with one of my friends.
I'm kinda shaken up by the situation, but I am still hopefull that this will become a good thing. Wish me luck.
